ITU World Championships Cross triathlon

Location

The beautiful beach, sea and dunes surrounding Kijkduin (The Hague) are the main elements of the tough course of the KYOCERA Beach Challenge Cross triathlon. This race is always unpredictable and challenging due to the ever-changing natural elements of wind, sand and sea.

* Early entries in the age groups category (pre-registered on this website and paid before May 1st 2013!) will receive a discount of 10 euro on the entry fee and only pay 85 euro.
** The categories F18-F75 and M55-M75 will start at 12:15, the categories M18-M50 will start at 13:30.

Registration

The entry fee for the World Championships includes an exclusive WC memento and free entry to the pastaparty on Friday, the CUBE Beach criterium on Wednesday and the Sea swim on Thursday (please register for the Beach Criterium and Sea swim if you want to participate).

Pre-registration is required.

Check-in

You may pick up your start numbers and race packet on Friday afternoon or Saturday at the registration desk. Check out the schedule for the exact opening times of the registration desk.

Briefing

The briefing for athletes will take place after the opening ceremony on Friday evening (see Schedule).

Competition rules

The Beach Challenge is governed by the 2013 competition rules of the International Triathlon Union, including the specific rules for cross triathlon and duathlon. All participants are expected to know these regulations and adhere to them.

Please note that the uniform rules of the ITU are in effect for all WC categories. Contact your national triathlon federation for information on how to purchase an approved uniform.

Prize money

The Elite series men and women of the WC Cross triathlon offers €35,000 as prize money.
